My name is Melissa DiVietri; an abstract artist from Michigan. I have been living, working & thriving in Detroit for 8 years. I have been a long-term resident in the coworking spaces and artist in Russell Industrial Center creating events for the neighborhoods.
I operate an all ladies agency DI techno; that facilitates art & music experiences for communities to unleash their creative edge. I am the Event Organizer for Still Loading Art festival which arrive on Sat May 22 and Sun May 23. We have been approved by Downtown Detroit Partnership & DTE Energy for our event to unfold in Beacon Park, Detroit
This art festival will be a highlight for our community as we have activated medium to large installation that can walk thru;
touch, feel and even some that you can sit & play on called Los Trompos. We will share other highlights as well as LED walls with interacting visual effects and live painters pouring their passions into their work for all to enjoy.
There’s going to be two live music stages with deep house, techno, dance vibes and cool chill vibes by our agency DI Techno, too! We will host food trucks along a coffee experience by Great Lakes Coffee.
Our event is unique because we will not have alcohol on site – this is an experimental event planned for individuals to be welcomed in an open minded environment without having to feel the need for substances.
OUR TAKE-AWAYS FOR THIS ART FESTIVAL
Our take-aways for this open air art festival concept:
+ Create an inclusive event that allows individuals, like myself, who faces challenges with mobility & accessibility. Our agency, DI techno has carefully planned to incorporate an ADA platform for elevation; LED wall for vision impaired and seeking resources for a full structure ADA bathroom. Our goal is to be the leaders in properly planning an event that can be available for all individuals to enjoy without facing barriers or obstacles to be in the present now.
+ This event will be 18+; free to the public with no alcohol on site. We are driving an initiative to welcome substance free, open minded environment that fuels the creative mentality.
+ Our agency has been created art & music experiences in downtown Detroit, Miami, Medellin, Barcelona, Bali and Chicago since 2018. We have known for our medium to large art installations that will be activated during the art festival.
